Bats Force Residents To Move
Aug. 3, 2006
Dozens of families were forced to leave their apartments in Lake Jackson, Texas, when authorities discovered an estimated 2,000 bats living in the walls, attics, and crawl spaces of the building. The 84-unit complex was vacated and placed under quarantine last Friday when two of the dead bats found in the building tested positive for rabies.
