Brittany Cappetta has her sights on becoming a fashion designer one day.

The 15-year-old Davie girl says she has worked with a lot of different materials, but nothing as trashy as her latest creation.

''''I''ve never done anything in newspaper,'''' she said. ``It was pretty cool.''''

Cappetta was one of nearly two dozen teen designers to put their talents to work recently at a first-of-its-kind fashion show that gave new life to what others toss out.

Called Wear's Your Style?, the show featured only outfits made from recyclable items. Hundreds of people came to check out the creations on July 28 at the Young at Art Children's Museum in Davie.
