Hernández Is Dealt to Diamondbacks

Liván Hernández was traded to the Arizona Diamondbacks from the Washington Nationals on Monday for two minor league pitchers.

The 31-year-old Hernández, a right-hander, is 9-8 this season with a career-high 5.34 earned run average in 24 starts. He has been hampered by a sore knee for much of the season, but he had the latest in a string of strong outings Sunday, allowing just two runs over seven innings.
