Americans traveling to or through Transdniestria, a breakaway region of Moldova, are urged to employ extra caution, the U.S. Embassy in Chisinau, Moldova, said in a Warden Message on Aug. 14. The warning, which comes after a trolley explosion in the Transdniestrian capital of Tiraspol, advises daylight travel, attention to local photography restrictions and careful observation of stop signs near peacekeeping posts.
