But with her marriage in tatters, the daughter of Goldie Hawn wanted nothing more than to curl up in a ball a long way away from any red carpet.
Makers of the actress's latest film You, Me and Dupree found themselves in the rather awkward position of throwing the movie's UK premiere without their leading lady.
