Two months after a close and heated election, Felipe Calderón is declared Mexico’s next president.

Fireworks erupted after the announcement this week that Felipe Calderón would be Mexico’s next president. Upon hearing the news, demonstrators in Mexico City raised their fists and shouted slogans. Their words were angry, and the fireworks were not celebratory.
