Six oil companies are being fined for anti-competitive sharing of information that allegedly shut new operators out of the market to supply jet fuel to Italy's airports, the Italian antitrust authority said June 20. The companies, including Italy's Eni, ExxonMobil, Royal Dutch/Shell, Kuwait Oil Co., Libya's Tamoil and France's Total, will be fined a total of $397 million and will have to cease anti-competitive activities by June 30, 2008.
