Second stage of Agni III failed to separate missing the target

The initial launch of India's Agni III ballistic missile July 9 was successful, though its second stage failed to separate, The Times of India reported, citing sources in the Defense Research and Development Organization. Due to the failure, the missile fell into the Bay of Bengal off the coast of Orissa state without hitting its target, the sources said.
