Many pets are packing on the pounds these days. One in four U.S. pets is obese, according to a new report from the National Research Council, a branch of the Washington, D.C.-based National Academy of Sciences.
Pets that are obese, or weigh at least 20 percent above a healthy weight, are at risk for heart disease, diabetes, and other health problems.
