Cease-Fire in the Middle East

Israel and Hizballah agree to stop a war that has killed more than 1,000 people over the past month.
The fighting between Israel and Hizballah came to a stop early Monday morning. In its place was a fragile peace. The cease-fire, or end to the war, came two days after the United Nations (U.N.) negotiated the agreement.
Many have been injured and many more have turned out dead. The stopping of the war has been a blessing to the people who have lost beloved family members.
At least 890 Lebanese were killed in the fighting. Most of them were civilians. In Israel, 159 civilians and soldiers were killed, according to the Israel Defense Forces.
