Five years after the September 11 terrorist attacks, America honors and remembers victims and heroes.

On September 11, 2001, a terrible event shook America and forever changed the world we live in. Nearly 3,000 people were killed in a terrorist attack on the World Trade Center towers in New York City, the Pentagon in Washington, D.C. and an open field in Shanksville, Pennsylvania.

We all remember that day, either being there or hearing about it in the news. It is a tragic day for everyone in the USA and now that the terrorists have commitied this act, the lives of all Americans is changed.

Five years later, the painful memories of the attacks remain. "There's a hole in my soul," said New York City cab driver Henry Pitkin.
