Harry Potter Manuscript Overcomes Airport Security

Joanne Rowling, known by her pen name J. K. Rowling, was almost stopped by American airport security to embark on a plane together with her latest book’s manuscript as hand luggage.
After August 10, security was severely restricted as a consequence of the discovery of an alleged plot to blow up airliners, passengers flying from the States can no longer take any hand luggage on board.
J.K. Rowling was returning from New York where she was part of a charity reading show, “An Evening With Harry, Carrie and Garp”, on Radio City Hall New York with authors Stephen King and John Irvine, on August 1 and August 2.
The only thing that she really wanted was that the book wasn''t going to be lost, or stolen during the flight. She couldn''t bear to part with her lovely luggage.
