"Stick-thin" Models Out Of Fashion

Five models were forbidden to appear at Spain's annual fashion show for being too skinny. The models accepted to take part in the fashion show had to have a body weight higher than a previously determined one.

This is a good judgement to some because people are thinking about all of the teen age girls who end up having eating disorders. They think of themselves as fat because there are these super thin models walking around that they think they should look like.

Moreover, it is amazingly predictable that the same measure will be taken at the London's Fashion Week. Britain's Culture Secretary, Tessa Jowell specifically required the banning of "stick-thin" models from the fashion representation.

What Spain did might start to catch on to other modeling agencies. We do have plus sized models, but there really should be a limit to how fat or skinny a model should be aloud to be. It is healthy to b skinney, but not that thin.

"The BFC does not comment or interfere in the aesthetic of any designer's show." However "BFC has cancelled the photo call on Sunday because it is unwilling to add any more impetus to the publicity surrounding this complicated issue."
