Sundown on Friday marks the beginning of Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish New Year 5767.

To Jews around the world, Rosh Hashanah marks the beginning of the 10 most solemn and important days of the religious calendar - the Days of Judgment, the Days of Awe and ending with Yom Kippur, the Day of Atonement.

This time of introspection, Rosh Hashanah, falls in the Jewish calendar on the first and second days of the seventh month of Tishri.

The Torah says Moses in anger broke the commandment tablets God gave to him when he returned from his meditation on Mt. Sinai and found the Israelites worshipping idols.
