Records show that kids who play musical instruments such as the flute or violin, end up smarter in the long run. The process of learning an instrument is basically math. For the violin, you have to figure out which notes are which on the fingerboard. Reading music is also mathematically related. TO look at a key signature requires much talent and skill.
Studies show that kids who play instruments do better on standardized tests such as the SATs. This will help the students on the long run.
