Paris Hilton Out of Jail…Fair?
The heiress finally managed to get herself out of the clink after only 5 days! This is a record. There are debates about whether she got let out just because of her good behavior, or the fact that she is a celebrity. Did Paris manage to bust herself out based on her celebrity status?
“It is just unfair, if she is treated that way, why shouldn’t everyone else be able to get out 35 days before his or her sentence is up?” said a civilian who strongly opposed her shortened sentence. Paris should be treated just as if she was a regular person. Just because of her popularity, and wealth, she was let out? This just doesn’t seem fair; this is why she is scheduled to appear at a court hearing tomorrow about whether she should go back to jail. She will then have to serve house arrest, but in the comfort of her home.
Imagine this: what if a regular person was to have committed her crime? They wouldn’t have gotten out of a 20-day jail sentence in just five days. Is this fair to all of the other billions of people in our world? What really makes celebrities so special, so special to have the right to surpass the law…?
