Celebrity Favoritism Should Be a Crime…Why Isn’t It

In Paris Hilton’s case, the sheriff let her go for minor health issues. Was this politically, or even morally correct? People are usually waiting up to a week for proper treatment, even for gunshot wounds. Paris just got herself into a medical facility on the spot, fair? Most would have to believe that it is unfair. Why should celebrities get special treatment just because they have money? Our disciplinary system is tremendously lacking at being fair to the inmates. It shouldn’t matter how much money they have, but how severe the injuries to be sent to a medical facility to be treated. The inmates shouldn’t be able to buy their way out of jail on to house arrest just because the sheriff shows celebrity favoritism.
