Most kids think that having summer homework is a waste of their time. After going through a whole year of school, why should you have more homework? Well, the teachers, surprisingly, have a good reason for giving homework over the summer.

Summer homework is just a way that teachers can make sure that you don’t loose complete touch with everything that you have learned throughout the year. If you didn’t receive any work to do over the summer, then when you went back to school, you would be a complete mess. Besides having to re-learn what you were taught last year, you would have to find room for the new information taught to you in your new grade. That really isn’t that easy if you expect good grades.
