High School Musical 2 Premiers

High School Musical 2 premiered on Friday, and completely lived up to its hype. The movie starts at East High, with Mrs. Darbus giving another lecture. Once the final bell rings, the stars break out into the song “What time is it”. Eventually, Troy and Gabriella, played by Zac Efron and Vanessa Ann Hudgins, land summer jobs at Sharpay and Ryan’s country club.

Troy and Gabriella are practically in love, but Sharpay won’t stand for it. She decides to make Troy like her by dangling the hopes of a scholarship in his face. This made him forget his friends, his team, and Gabriella. When Gabriella quits her job, and leaves Troy, he is left with many people who don’t want to be associated with him anymore, his old friends. He finally decides that he should worry about the future when it comes around, but he should certainly worry about the present now.

At the end of the movie, Troy and Gabriella finally got their kiss, while getting drenched by the sprinklers of course. Everyone, even Sharpay turned out to be friends in the end, just like a happy ending should be.
